Show Notes for Episode #7:
As defined by Wikipedia – Visualization is any technique for creating images, diagrams, or animations to communicate a message.
Let’s say you’re thinking about building a new home… as the contractor shares blueprints, diagrams and mock-ups, your mind starts to visualize a future state where you’re happily living in this new home. As with any big project, there will be obstacles and challenges, but it’s that visual snapshot of the future that motivates you to keep pushing ahead.
The same can be said for the Retirepreneur venture you’re striving to create… Close your eyes and envision a future point, maybe a year or more down the road. The 9-to-5 grind is over and you’re now happy and thriving as a Retirepreneur:
- How will your life change?
- How will this impact your family?
- How will it impact your day-to-day life?
- How will it impact your wallet?
We also share a clip from the Oprah show where actor Jim Carrey shares how he tapped visualization to achieve amazing things in his career.
Okay, so you’re gainfully employed and you’re immersed in all kinds of work during the business day, but how about committing an evening each week to your Retirepreneur side hustle? How about establishing category authority on social channels?
During this segment, I share how a recent side hustle helped me advance.
