Show Notes for Podcast Episode #31
Hot Topic #1: Next for Me
In this segment, we explore the power of partnerships – particularly apropos for Retirepreneurs where together, two partners accomplish something far more remarkable than either one could do on their own.
Such was the case in our most recent partnership with Next for Me, where we teamed up to host a series of workshops in Ohio — Too Young To Be Done: What’s Next for YOU? With both of our organizations championing the same gargantuan movement to reinvent work in retirement, together we connected with people that would have been tougher (and more costly) to reach on our own.

Hot Topic #2: Never Too Old to Get Rich
We were graced with an outstanding opportunity to interview Kerry Hannon, nationally-recognized expert and strategist on career transitions, entrepreneurship and retirement. I’ve enjoyed all of Kerry’s past books, but this latest one is my favorite: Never Too Old To Get Rich: The Entrerpreneur’s Guide to Starting a Business Mid-Life.

Hot Topic #3: Carol’s Second Act
While TV sitcoms often perpetuate myths about the age 55+ segment, we’re hoping Carol’s Second Act, a new show on CBS starring Patricia Heaton, blows away a few of these.
We love the premise – after raising two kids and retiring from teaching, Carol decides to embark on an ambitious and unique second act… becoming a doctor. Click here for a preview.
AARP recently published highlights from an interview with Patricia Heaton – about her own second act and how to find yours. You’ll find it here.
